The Teflon® AF amorphous fluoropolymers polymers are distinct from other fluoropolymers in that they are soluble in selected solvents, have high gas permeability, high compressibility, creep resistance, and low thermal conductivity. Teflon® AF polymers have the lowest dielectric constant of any known solid polymer. Teflon® AF polymers have the lowest index of refraction of any known polymer.

Product Attributes: Tg 160°C and Tg 240°C; high thermal, chemical, mechanical, and electrical stability; high permanent gas permiability and perm-separability; high creep resistance; low thermal conductivity; optical transparency over wide wavelength range; lowest dielectric constant of any known solid polymer; lowest index of refraction of any known polymer; limited solubility in selected perfluorinated solvents; and compression- melt-processible.
